Let’s kick off December with a fun CHALLENGE!
Earlier this year I had to come up with a “Challenge” as part of my lesson for The Art of Sisterhood course. I chose to do a “Dollar Drop” as my challenge. For seven days, I left one of my art postcards in random places with one dollar bill attached.
The back of each card read: “You are so very loved. May you rise above life’s challenges and let your light shine! Wishing you an abundance of all the goodness in life.”
It was an exercise in the Spiritual Law of Abundance – specifically pertaining to financial prosperity. The belief is that the more you give, the more you receive. What you believe is what you manifest. If you believe in lack, you experience lack. If you believe in abundance, you experience abundance – all kinds – love, prosperity, joy, etc. There is enough of everything in life for everyone.
I had SO MUCH FUN completing these simple, anonymous random acts of kindness. It gave me true joy imagining what someone felt when they found the note and dollar bill.
As the week progressed, I put more thought into where I was leaving them – which included the baby food section because all parents (especially new ones) need to be reminded of their worth, the cold and flu medicine shelf at the pharmacy (for obvious reasons), and the art supply store because artists deserve abundance of all kinds!
It was such a great feeling to know that I was potentially brightening someone’s day with this small, sweet surprise!
